Shop these in one order
Mello puts these ingredients on one shopping list with the rest of your week, and anything two recipes share is added together. The list then goes to Sainsbury's in the UK or Careem Quik in the UAE.
Add to a shopping listHow the shopping list works →- Step 1
Brown the ground beef + turkey sausage in a large pot over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Step 2
Add the diced onion and bell peppers and cook for 4–5 minutes until softened.
- Step 3
Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Step 4
Add the tomato paste and cook for 2–3 minutes. Season with Nature’s seasoning, Cajun seasoning and Italian seasoning.
- Step 5
Sprinkle in the flour and stir well; cook for 1–2 minutes.
- Step 6
Slowly add the beef broth while stirring, then simmer until thickened.
- Step 7
Option 1 (One-Pot): Add the dry spaghetti directly into the pot (break in half if needed). Cover and cook until tender, stirring occasionally.
- Step 8
Add a splash of pasta water to loosen and emulsify the sauce.
- Step 9
Option 2 (Boil Separately): Boil the spaghetti in salted water until al dente in a separate pot, then reserve 1/2–1 cup pasta water and drain.
- Step 10
Add the cooked spaghetti into the meat sauce and toss well.
- Step 11
Add a splash of reserved pasta water to bring everything together and create a silky sauce.
