
Placki ziemniaczane z Maca
Crispy Polish potato pancakes (placki ziemniaczane) made with grated potato and mixed into a quick ‘maca’ style add-in for extra richness, served hot as a snack or appetiser.
- 600 g potatoes
- 1 pc eggs
- 30 g plain flour
- 150 g onion
- salt
- black pepper
- 2 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 15 g maca powder

Grate the potatoes and onion; squeeze well in a clean tea towel to remove excess liquid.

In a bowl, mix the squeezed potato and onion with the egg, flour, salt and black pepper, then stir in the maca powder.
- Step 3
Heat a thin layer of rapeseed oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Step 4
Spoon 2–3 tablespoons of the mixture per pancake into the pan and flatten slightly.
- Step 5
Fry for 3–4 minutes per side, until deep golden and crisp, adding a little more oil if the pan looks dry.
- Step 6
Transfer to a plate lined with kitchen paper and serve hot.
