Recipes to Sainsbury's - FAQ
Does Mello add things to my Sainsbury's trolley?
No. Mello opens Sainsbury's search results for every item on your list, and you choose the products and add them yourself. You check out on Sainsbury's with your own account and delivery slot.
How do I switch Mello to Sainsbury's?
In Settings, under Shopping, choose Sainsbury's (UK). From then on every shopping list has a Shop at Sainsbury's button.
What happens with a long list?
Sainsbury's search carries the list in its web address, which has a length limit, so a long list opens as two or three searches instead of one. Mello shows which ones you have already opened.
Which recipes can I shop?
Any recipe you can link to. Paste a link from Instagram, TikTok, a food blog or a chef's site and Mello reads the ingredients out of it, or pick from the dishes already on Mello.
Is it free?
Yes. Building lists and sending them to Sainsbury's is free. Importing recipes from links is capped at 10 on the free plan, and Pro raises that to 100 a month.
I do not shop at Sainsbury's. Does it still work?
Yes. Mello also sends lists to Careem Quik in the UAE, and anywhere else the list works as a checklist you can take to any shop, grouped by aisle.
